Introduction
Welcome to the BinaryBITS | TechBytes (BITS) community! We are thrilled to have you grow, develop and support our community.
The BITS Blog's purpose is to help close the gap between technology and know-how by providing awareness, conversations, tech news, and tech advice surrounding Information Technology, Information Systems, best practices, the odd review, how to's , do's and don'ts, up and coming tech highlights, Tech Tip's, Fun Tech Facts and a little bit of opinion thrown into the mix.
From Tech 101 to Tech Enthusiasts - Join The community! We are proud to offer content for beginners (Tech 101) and tech enthusiasts, so make sure to subscribe and get notified! As always, let us know if there is a tech topic of interest that you would like us to discuss, review or provide further insight or opinion on, and we will do our best to share it with you.
Before joining the BITS community, we stipulate that you fully read and understand the guidelines below and abide by it's terms.
The goals of our community are to:
- Build a positive, welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to share ideas, thoughts and feedback, inspired by our posted content.
- To promote a friendly Support Hub where BITS members can comfortably ask technical related questions to other community members that are highly knowledgeable and professionally experienced within the field of technology.
- To create a fun and interactive space to freely participate in, or create, fun weekly or daily themes of tech related matter, participate in opinion polls or express a lighter and funny side of the technology world through fun memes or jokes.
To meet the collective goals of our community, it’s important that all members feel safe and supported without any form of judgement. To help everyone have the best possible experience, please take a look at our community guidelines:
Positive guidelines:
Introduce yourself to the group and provide a brief statement of what you are looking to get out of the group. Sharing is caring!
Feel free to post questions and start discussions on any topics relating to our community focus pertaining to technology.
Treat others as you would treat them in real life.
Be polite and communicate with the utter most respect.
Respect the privacy of other community members.
Utilize mentors and community managers for support.

Rules and restrictions:
Don’t share posts without permission of the creator.
Don’t share personal or private information.
Don’t post irrelevant messages outside of the community's scope of focus. This also includes any subject manner surrounding politics, gender or religion.
Don’t post self promoting content, any type of advertising or spam, or attempt to solicit business of any kind.
There shall be zero tolerance for harassment or undermining individuals. Personal attacks, trolling and abuse of any kind will not be tolerated, through the community or through direct messaging. This includes posts that spread misinformation, are disruptive or are misleading in any such manner.
Don’t post explicit, inappropriate, rude, sexual or aggressive content.
No Bot or impersonating accounts are permitted.
Consequences:
We are committed to provide fair and impartial resolution. However, in the event of someone violating these guidelines, we will take action to protect other members of the group. This might include an initial warning or in the event of extreme or repeat behavior, the member may be banned from the community and reported to the hosting authority, if applicable.
